CLEVELAND, Ohio — The 2022 NFL Draft is done, but the work is not for all 32 teams, including the Cleveland Browns.
They made nine picks in this year’s draft. But now, the focus shifts to undrafted free agents. This is where teams will try to find sleepers that were passed on by everyone and see if they can find a hidden gem.

Justin Melo of The Draft Network reported Bell had signed with the Browns. Bell is 6-foot, 211 pounds and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds.
In 2021, Bell had 43 solo tackles, a tackle for loss and a pass breakup.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler was the first to report the signing of Faulk, who is 6-1, 205 pounds. He was second team All-Gulf South Conference in 2021 after he had 28 solo tackles, an interception and six passes defensed.
Harley tweeted after the draft that he was joining the Browns. The 5-11, 182-pound Harley has had back-to-back seasons of 57 receptions. He had 543 yards receiving and five touchdowns in 2021, and was better in 2020 with 799 yards and seven TDs.
Tom Pelissero of NFL Network first reported that Harper was signing with the Browns. Harper is 5-9, 164 pounds and started the last two seasons for Alcorn State. He was named the SWC Offensive Player of the Year in 2019 when he threw for 2,954 yards, 33 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He also rushed for six touchdowns.
In 2021, he completed 61.9 percent of his passes for 2,476 yards, 20 TDs and five INTs.
Harris confirmed on his Twitter that he has joined the Browns as a UDFA. Harris, who is 5-9, 185 pounds, caught 76 passes in 2021 for 814 yards and nine touchdowns.
Michael Nizolek of The Roanoke (Va.) Times reported the signing of the veteran Virginia Tech center. Hoffman started 46 collegiate games, including 32 at center.
He played his first two seasons at Coastal Carolina before transferring to Virginia Tech. He was ineligible to play in 2019, but was able to play for the Hokies in 2020.
Coastal Carolina football’s Twitter account confirmed that Kelly is joining the Browns. He is a 6-3, 229-pound linebacker who ran the 40 in 4.62 seconds and had a vertical jump of 38.5 inches.
Kelly had 109 tackles in 2021 for the Chanticleers and had 2.5 sacks and nine tackles for loss. He was first team All-Sun Belt in 2021.
Appalachian State football’s Twitter put out the news of Jolly signing with the Browns as a UDFA. The 5-9, 175-pound Jolly was a three-time first team All-Sun Belt selection.
Last season, Jolly had 22 solo tackles, an interception and five pass breakups.
Logan wasted little time in tweeting out confirmation that he was signing with the Browns. In five seasons with LSU, the 6-2, 298-pound Logan has seven sacks and 10.5 tackles for loss.
Mitchell-Paden’s agents tweeted out the news that he was coming to Cleveland. He is a 6-4, 257-pound player who played at Notre Dame College (Ohio) before transferring to FAU for the 2021 season. He caught nine passes for 85 yards and a TD with the Owls. His best season at Notre Dame College was in 2019 when he had 53 catches for 573 yards and six TDs.
Illinois football tweeted out confirmation of Perry joining the Browns. The 6-2, 315-pound defensive tackle was at South Carolina State for four years before transferring to Illinois in 2020.
He started 14 of 17 games for the Illini during two seasons. In 2021, Perry had 26 tackles, two sacks and three TFLs.
Petrula announced the news himself on Twitter. He is a 6-5, 316-pound lineman who was a five-year starter for Boston College. Most of his starting experience came at right tackle, but he has also started at center and right guard.
Smith, who is the brother of 2022 Seahawks draft pick and former Ohio State defensive end Tyreke Smith, confirmed the report on Twitter that he was coming to Berea on a rookie minicamp invite.
Malik Smith played college basketball at UNC Asheville, Bryant and Fisk University before preparing for a shot at the NFL. Cleveland.com’s Nathan Baird wrote about the Smith brothers at OSU’s Pro Day as Malik will get at least a chance with the Browns.
Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus reported that the former UNI receiver will come to the Browns as an undrafted free agent. Weston, who is 6-4, 210 pounds, caught 37 passes for 883 yards and five touchdowns last season.
He tested extremely well at the NFL combine, running the 40-yard dash in 4.42 seconds and doing a broad jump of 11 feet, three inches.
