Wide receiver Keenan Allen joined rapper Snoop Dogg for Snoop Special Stars Camp, a program which provides children with special needs with a safe place where they can play sports. Allen stopped by the camp in LA to coach the kids and even learn a few of their dance moves.
The Chargers held a Chargers PREP Youth Football Camp through the Chargers Impact Fund, SkyOne Federal Credit Union, and Sonesta Hotels. The camp guided participants through technique drills and culminated in a tournament between the teams. Chargers players Donald Parham, Matt Feiler, Christian Covington and more served as special guests, helping coach the athletes and signing autographs after the camp.
The Chargers partnered with American Airlines to hold the annual Take Charge Summit for high school football players from the Greater LA area who were rising seniors. This summit, which took place at SoFi Stadium, featured guest speakers from American Airlines and Chargers players Asante Samuel Jr. and Joshua Palmer and focused on building the leadership qualities of these young athletes.

The Chargers held their second annual Nike 11-On event at Long Beach Poly High School, in which local boys and girls prep football programs came together to go through drills, compete, and receive guidance from special guest Rashawn Slater.

An innovative career training and leadership program, Bolt Academy has had a successful launch this past season. With the partnership between the Chargers Impact Fund, Brotherhood Crusade, Inglewood Unified School District, and SoFi, the students had the great opportunity to work on game days and make an impact in the Inglewood community!
Ms. B’s M&M Soul Food, located in Inglewood, was struggling to pay rent after their rent doubled and food costs rose during the COVID-19 pandemic. When the Chargers heard about their story, they stepped up and hired Ms. B’s to feed their entire team following the Bolts matchup against the Minnesota Vikings to show their support for local businesses.
The Chargers honored Hailey Morinico as their Hometown Hero for Week 17 of the 2021 NFL season. When a bear came into her backyard and got too close to her family’s dogs, Hailey pushed the bear off the ledge to save them. Presented by Grant Thornton.
After a virtual competition last season, local Southern California high schools competed in the 2021 STEM on the Sidelines™ competition presented by Ducommun Inc. at SoFi Stadium.

The Los Angeles Chargers partnered with Trina’s Kids Foundation in its 8th annual toy drive to fill the SoFi Stadium field from goal-line to goal-line with toys for select families to pick up. In addition to toys, the Bolts also provided other essential items and gifts for the families to help make the holiday season a little easier.
The Chargers honored Neveah Henrich as their Hometown Hero for Week 15 of the 2021 NFL season. Neveah helped save the life of her friend’s mother after she began choking by instructing those around her how to do the Heimlich maneuver until first responders arrived. Presented by Grant Thornton.
The Bolt fam continued a 17-year tradition by partnering with Bikes for Kids and Pechanga to surprise 3rd graders at a local Los Angeles elementary school with brand new bikes. The bikes were hand-built by the Bolts Community Crew over the weekend and former Chargers LaDainian Tomlinson and Antonio Gates surprised all the children with the bicycles. This year’s donation of 170 bikes was the largest yet thanks to Pechanga Resort and Casino.
The Chargers honored Bodie Chapman as their Hometown Hero for Week 14 of the 2021 NFL season. Bodie saved the life of a senior citizen who was unconscious after a car crash by performing CPR until paramedics arrived. Presented by Grant Thornton.
