PHILADELPHIA – The Eagles are in the middle of signing undrafted free agents to their roster after the 2022 NFL Draft ended Saturday evening. The Eagles have already focused a lot of their attention on cornerback, adding three players who play the position.
However, there are still a couple of players out there who could be good fits for the Eagles and fight for a spot on either the practice squad or the 53-man roster.
Here are three potential undrafted free agents who have yet to be signed that could be a good fit with the Eagles:
Justyn Ross, WR, Clemson
Ross said his meeting with the Eagles was “smooth.” Ross is another tall receiver (6-feet, 4-inches) who said that he models his game after Keenan Allen of the Chargers. The reason Ross remains unsigned is not so much that he is recovering from foot surgery. It is that Ross was born with Klippel-Feil syndrome, a congenital fusion in his spine. Despite the medical issues with Ross, it would still be good to see how he would fit with a team.
Aqueel Glass, QB, Alabama A & M
Glass, who is 6-feet, 5-inches tall and 215 pounds, has a strong arm and is a very athletic quarterback. Glass needs some work on his footwork because it will help him put the ball in a more accurate position for his receivers. If he hones in on this and is available late in the draft or as an undrafted free agent, he seems like a good fit to be the third quarterback for the Eagles and let head coach Nick Sirianni and quarterbacks coach Brian Johnson work with him.
Aaron Mosby, EDGE, Fresno State
Mosby had 40 tackles, six sacks, and five forced fumbles last season at Fresno State. Mosby is an agile player who is in the “tweener” size, being that he is 6-feet, 4-inches tall, and weighs 244 pounds. Mosby is still athletic enough to be a 4-3 defensive end and a 3-4 outside rush linebacker who could play in space and drop into coverage if needed.
