The Tennessee Titans are slated to pick seven times in the 2022 NFL draft, with one of those selections coming in the fifth round at No. 169 overall.
It’s a spot the team has chosen from one in franchise history. That came in 2006 when the Titans selected defensive tackle Jesse Mahelona out of the University of Tennessee.
Mahelona spent one season in Nashville, recording 77 tackles and one sack in 10 games (one start). He was released in 2007 and went on to play in one game with the Atlanta Falcons, the last of his career.
Sadly, he tragically died in a car accident in 2009 at the age of 26.
Of the 12 players who have been drafted at No. 169 overall since 2010, one is a former Titan, while another is currently on the roster. Here’s a look at the full list.
