The Patriots placed defensive back Myles Bryant on the Non-Football Injury list and punter Jake Bailey on the Non-Football Illness list Tuesday.
Bryant and Bailey can be activated once they are medically cleared to return to practice.
The Pats also released interior offensive lineman Darryl Williams, who signed in late June. Williams, 25, spent most of the last two seasons on the Chiefs’ practice squad. He signed with Kansas City as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2020.
The 6-foot-3, 310-pounder was not expected to make the team’s Week 1 roster.
With Williams’ release Tuesday, the Patriots are now down to 83 players on their roster, including those stashed on the Non-Football Injury, Non-Football Illness and Physically Unable to Perform lists.
The Pats open training camp Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. outside Gillette Stadium.
